Coming up on the 2 year anniversary of Rogue Green (which will be in August - and YES we're throwing a party!) I'm happy and honored to have connected with so many inspiring and authentic people. This month is going to be fantastic!
I created Rogue Green because there wasn't a good hub in downtown Phoenix for the sustainability crowd, have had an ongoing passion to see the 'green" crowd and the art crowd collide, and hold the highest value in the importance of educating everyone on what, why and how we can make a difference in this big world. I feel like I'm making a dent - along with YOU.
We will be back at PURL for the June Rogue Green. My friend Jonce Walker, LEED AP and Sustainability Manager for Maricopa County, will be giving a presentation titled:
Making Sustainable Communities Happen: Creating a Community Engagement Campaign
Purpose:
Making Sustainable Communities Happen invites residents, public officials, business owners, and developers in the metro Phoenix area to think of new ways to create places in which we can all thrive as Phoenix and Arizona continue to grow.
I would highly suggest checking out the Livable Communities Coalition site and there will be people on hand at the event to let you know how YOU can get involved.
Agenda:
6:00p - 6:30p - Networking
6:00p - 6:45p Chi Chi's Tacos serving delicious food!
6:30p - 7:00p - Introductions and Community News
7:00p - 7:30p - Presentation
7:30p - 8p - Q & A and Discussion
If you have any items to donate for raffle or would like to Sponsor an upcoming Rogue Green event, please email me.
Also, because PURL has a strict security policy, you MUST RSVP for this event if you plan to attend at least 48 hours prior to the event.
For those of you who've had problems finding the building and parking in the past, PURL is located in the Securities Building on the southwest corner of Van Buren and Central Ave. The entrance is down a few doors from this corner on Central Ave., and I will have signs posted. If driving, I park in the lot on Van Buren, between Central and 1st Ave., but I encourage you to use public transport if possible!
Please feel free to invite others, and this event is free to attend ($5 donation is suggested for the continued cause).
Hope to see you there!
